Gad's Culture Page
Check it out! I finally got around to adding another feature to my web page! I'm calling this the "Culture" page. There's an implicit "Pop" prior to Culture in that title. Basically, this page is going to be where I list my favorite stuff pertaining to music, TV, movies, etc....
This page is a work in progress. I'll be adding things to it and updating it as I have time.
If something is on this page, it means that I like it. You should check it out and decide for yourself. I'm not trying to tell you what you should think....that's what liberal Democrats are for.

6 Current TV Shows (01/04/2005)
I haven't had time lately to watch enough TV to have 10.
Stuff goes off the air, and it gets replaced with crap...so the list gets shorter.
At least this time, I have a few new things to replace the shows I've dropped from the list
NASCAR on FOX
NASCAR on ESPN (Yes, I realize that they won't be airing a race until 2007)

Top 10 Greatest Winston Cup Races since I've been a Fan
2000 Winston 500 - Talladega - Oct. 15, 2000
Dale Earnhardt comes from 14th with 4 laps remaining to lead at the white
flag and hold on for his 76th, and final, career victory.
1998 Daytona 500 - Daytona - Feb. 15, 1998
In his 20th attempt, Dale Earnhardt finally wins the Daytona 500
1992 Hooters 500 - Atlanta - Nov. 15, 1992
Bill Elliot won the race, but Alan Kulwicki won the championship by putting
off his final pit stop long enough to lead 1 more lap than Elliot. The
5 bonus points allowed Kulwicki to preserve his 10 point lead over Elliot in
the standings. Had Elliot lead the most laps, he and Kulwicki would
have tied in the standings, and Elliot would have been the champ because he
won 5 races to Kulwicki's 2. The race is also notable as Richard
Petty's last and Jeff Gordon's first.
2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 - Darlington - March 16,
2003
Ricky Craven drops low under Kurt Bush and drag races him into turn 1 with
two laps to go. They touch, causing Busch to bounce off the wall and
allowing Craven grab the lead. Busch gets into the back of Craven in
turn 2, allowing Busch to get back by and lead to the white flag.
Craven gets another run on Busch and dives under him in turn 4. The
two bump and bang down the front straightaway, with Craven edging Busch at
the line by a mere 0.002 seconds - the closest recorded finish since NASCAR
started using electronic scoring in 1993.
2003 Aaron's 499 - Talladega - April 6, 2003
Dale Earnhard Jr. gets caught up in the "big one" on lap 5, but the Bud crew
keeps him on the lead lap. With the help of a new front air dam
attached during one of his many pit stops and a controversial dip below the
yellow line after passing Matt Kenseth for the lead, Jr. continues his 'Dega
dominace, claiming his 4th straight win at the track.
2001 Pepsi 400 - Daytona - July 7, 2001
Dale Earnhardt Jr. dominates the first race at Daytona since the track
claimed his father's life. Michael Waltrip drafts with Jr. in the
final laps to finish 2nd, a reversal of their finish in the 500.
2001 Daytona 500 - Daytona - Feb. 18, 2001 - THE
DARKEST DAY OF THE MODERN ERA
Michael Waltrip claims his first victory in a car owned by Dale Earnhardt,
who looses his life in a crash with Ken Schrader and Sterling Marlin while
running 3rd and holding the competition back from Waltrip and runner-up Dale
Earnhardt Jr.
2001 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 500 - Atlanta -
Mar. 11, 2001
In just his 3rd Winston Cup start, and the 3rd race since Dale Earnhardt's
death, Kevin Harvick, who replaced Earnhardt in the RCR GM Goodwrench Chevy,
beats Jeff Gordon by mere inches. The finish was eerily similar to
Earnhardt's win over Bobby Labonte in the same race one year before.
2001 EA Sports 500 - Talladega - Oct. 21, 2001
Dale Earnhardt Jr. comes back to the front from a late race pit stop to win
the race in the same fashion as his dad did the year before.
2000 Cracker Barrel 500 - Atlanta - Mar. 12, 2000
Dale Earnhardt holds off a hard charging and faster Bobby Labonte to win by
inches. The two battled for the win after Mike Skinner, who had the
dominant car, lost an engine late in the race.
