        Minor updates to the Culture page. 

November 24, 2001

        I updated the About page to reflect my recent birthday, and I added
        a new diatribe reflecting the Dawgs' win in the Egg Bowl.  Also, I
        made some updates and additions to the Culture page.

November 18, 2001

        Lots of stuff updated.  I added a new diatribe, and I updated some
        of my comments on Chris's page in the pics section.  Also, I finally
        added a new section to the site, the Culture page.  I had intended to
        add this section in May when I moved the menu to the sidebar, but
        I never got around to it until now.

October 7, 2001

        The bombs are finally falling on Bin Laden and the Taliban, so I
        took the section of the 10/3 diatribe about the bombs not falling
        out of the diatribe window on the main page.  It's still in the
        Diatribe Archive, though.

        First of all, I added a lot of new patriotic symbols to the site in the 
        wake of the 9-11 attacks.  I also added a new diatribe.

September 2, 2001

        MSU vs. Memphis is less than 24 hours away, so I went ahead and 
        changed the countdown.  It is now counting down to Christmas
        Vacation.  I also updated the About page with my fall schedule.

August 5, 2001

        MSU has changed up the student e-mail account policy, so my e-mail
        address has changed.  It's now jng1@msstate.edu.  I had to go through
        the site and change all the e-mail links to the new address.  That's why
        almost every page will have today as it's last update, even though nothing
        looks different.

July 1, 2001

        I added a new diatribe.  I actually wrote this one a couple of weeks ago,
        but I'm just now getting around to posting it.  There have also been some
        minor changes between May 5th and now that I didn't bother to note on
        this page.  Most of them involved the set up of the countdown timer.  The
        timer is currently set to the start of MSU Football this fall, as it has been
        for several weeks.

        More changes!  I added a countdown timer to the site header.  Right
        now it shows the time until I move to Baton Rouge.  I don't know what
        I'm going to change it to once I get there, but I'll figure that out later.

        I also updated the About page.

        Check it out!  It's the first major structural revision to the site in 3 1/2 
        years.  I've had some ideas to expand the site over the last several
        months, but I haven't been able to do anything because the menu at the
        top couldn't have anything else added to it without going to two lines at
        at low resolution.  I don't run at less than 1024x768 on any of my
        machines, but I want to keep the site accessible to the 800x600 crowd.
        (Those of you in the 640x480 crowd need to go get a bigger monitor...
        trust me, you'll love it.)

        Anyhow, I have now moved the main site menu from the top to the side.
        It now takes an extra click to get from the Photos or Writings pages to
        another part of the site, but it'll just have to do for now.
